Regular eye exercises could maintain good vision and relieve symptoms of DED or blurry vision. Below are the top five simple eye exercises, which can be done within 10 minutes every day for better eye health. Let’s look!

1. Blinking

Blinking is the simplest exercise you can do to improve your vision.

Blink rapidly for 10 seconds

Close your eyes to rest for 15-20 seconds

Repeat the process 3-5 times until your vision is clear

2. Palming

This exercise can be used anytime and anywhere, especially when you need a break after working on computers for a long time.

Rub your palms together until they are warm

Apply them on your closed eyes and gently massage the eyelids for 2-3 minutes

3. Focus change

During this exercise, you need to change your eye focus between far and near objects.

Put your thumb a few centimeters in front of your eyes and focus on it

Slowly move your thumb straight until your arm is totally stretched

Look into the distance for several seconds before pulling it back

Look away to relax and repeat your exercise 3-5 times

4. Figure an eight

You might need to take a comfortable seat for this simple task.

Draw an imaginary eight on the floor, 3 to 5 meters away from you

Trace the path along this figure with your eyes for 20-30 seconds and do the same in the reverse direction

Repeat the process 2-3 times a day

Move your eyes in four main directions: up, down, to the left and right

Stay focused on what you see for several seconds without moving your head

Repeat the process for 2-3 minutes
